The NJ Surf Elite Basketball Organization is located in Point Pleasant, New Jersey and was established in 2012 by Jeff Guilfoyle. The NJ Surf Elite organization prides itself in teaching area athletes the rules and fundamentals of the game of basketball which will help them become a successful high school player.

Objective

To provide the highest quality of basketball instruction in a supportive and enjoyable program to area athletes who wish to compete at an affordable cost.

Teach your child shooting/dribbling with both hands.

Teach your child offensive moves that will help them to become an offensive threat.

Teach your child how to play strong team defense.

Teach your child to become a lock down defender.

Teach your child to become a consistent and confident scorer.

Teach your child to become a tough defender and team leader.

Playing Time
Playing time is based upon talent, commitment, game-time situations and other coaching decisions.

Practice
It is extremely important for players to commit to attending all practices. The NJ Surf  Elite believes that player development occurs in practice. A player who misses practices may incur penalties in playing time at the following game.

Commitment
It is important for players to demonstrate commitment to the team that they are apart of. When commitment lacks from one individual on a team, the entire team suffers, which is unfair. If you are placed on the team you are expected to attend all practices and games. If a conflict arises, communication with the coach is crucial.

Other Sports

NJ Surf Elite Basketball Organization will work with athletes who play another sport to determine if it is possible for the player to be apart of the Surf Basketball program. This will be determined on an individual basis with the player, player’s family and coach.
